Vietnam Cooking Courses - Cookery Center

 

     Vietnam is finally get more of the recognition it deserves in the world for its cuisine, with fresh ingredients and imaginative flavors, and one of the highlights of any trip to Vietnam is the food. Even if you do not expect to do much Vietnamese cooking, a cooking class is a fun and interesting way to learn about the local ingredients and how to make some of the popular dishes.
     In general, all cooking classes are half-day classes starting with in the morning with a trip to the local market followed by a cooking demonstration and lunch where you can eat the dishes that were prepared.

     Vinh Hung Blue River Boat Restaurant offers private cooking classes of group sizes up to 20 persons with our team of professional chefs. During the class you will enjoy the challenge of producing Vietnamese foods and we will also supply you with a recipe containing all the information you need to reproduce an authentic taste back home.

:: Blue River Boat - Morning Cooking Tour

* General Tour Information:

      Water bodies in general are an important part of Vietnam as a whole. More so for this shore town of Hoi An. The Thu Bon River in Hoi An plays an important role in the geography, culture as well as the history of Hoi An. The waterway here is long and interesting with the daily and normal life of the people. The riverbanks are beautiful with the greenness of trees. Here and there, small islets rise in the middle of the river, making it winding left and right respectively. Cornfields are seen, fishing boats gather, making a small lovely market...
     Depart from Thu Bon wharf on Bach Dang Street, and sail along the major branch of the lower section of the Thu Bon river. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along both banks of the river and the many boats bobbing on the waters.
     After that, you will be taken to the Cua Dai estuary, going up to the groves of water coconut farm tree where you will have a chance to discover the daily life of the people there ….

* The Market tour

     - The tour will start at 9.00 am at Vinh Hung 1 Restaurant. Meet our chef and take a short walking trip through the ancient town to the Market.
     -The market tour will give you an insight not just into the scents and flavour of Vietnamese herbs and spices but also market culture - how to bargain and where to buy your goods. The market place is the core of Vietnamese society.
     - Embark in our boat for a cruise on the romantic Thu Bon River

* Cooking Classes on board

     10.15 am: A well-come drink. Our chef will talk you through today's dishes then leading you through each dish, giving you plenty of opportunity to get involved and try your hand at reproducing the flavours
     -Dine on the dishes you have just prepared. We will also supply you with a recipe containing all the information you need to reproduce an authentic taste back home.
     13.30: Finish tour at Bach Dang Port for your next trip.

Note: the program in the afternoon will begin at 14h00 -finish at 18h00

:: COOKING CLASS RATE
Private Morning/ Afternoon Cooking Tour (Maximum for Group 15 pax)

* Rate:
     + 1 pax: US$ 150 per person
     + 2 pax: US$ 75 per person
     + 3-5 pax : US$ 50 per person
     + 6-7 pax: US$ 35 per person
     + 8-10 pax: US$ 30 per person
     + 10-15 pax: US$ 25 per person

* FOC Policy: free of charge 1 pax for every 15 full paying guests. Tour guide is FOC for food only

* Booking condition:
     - All bookings and confirmations form interchanged must be made in writing either by Email or Fax & received 24 hours in advance for arrangement.
     - Cancellations less than 24 hours will occur a 100% cancellation fee. In case of no-show, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
     - If the weather is bad, we will inform to you in advance at a night before the commencement of the tour .
