     Vietnam is finally get more of the recognition it deserves in the world for its cuisine, with fresh ingredients and imaginative flavors, and one of the highlights of any trip to Vietnam is the food. Even if you do not expect to do much Vietnamese cooking, a cooking class is a fun and interesting way to learn about the local ingredients and how to make some of the popular dishes.
     In general, all cooking classes are half-day classes starting with in the morning with a trip to the local market followed by a cooking demonstration and lunch where you can eat the dishes that were prepared.


:: Restaurant Information

     - Vinh Hung 1 Restaurant offers private cooking classes of group sizes small (2-10 persons) with our team of professional chefs. During the class you will enjoy the challenge of producing Vietnamese foods.
     - Before we start the cooking class we will take you to a local market. Here we show you the daily fresh vegetables, herbs, fruit, meat and fish.
     - During our cooking classes you realy have to make the delicious food your selve. It's a cooking class not a demonstration!
     - The cooking classes will be take you to the local market and gives you information about food in relation with religion, tradition and superstition.

We offer similar cooking classes - a chef-guided trip to the Hoi an Market, class and lunch. But these are demonstration classes, possibly better suited to more inhibited students. We sat, watched, took pictures and notes and sampled the Vietnamese specialties & Hoi an specialties: Fried spring rolls with shrimps, Tam Huu, Banh Xeo, Banana flower Salad with shrimp and meat, grilled fish in banana leaf ...

* The Market tour

+ 8.30am: A well-come drink. Meet our chef and take a short walking trip through the ancient town to the Market

+ The market tour will give you an insight not just into the scents and flavour of Vietnamese herbs and spices but also market culture - how to bargain and where to buy your goods. The market place is the core of Vietnamese society

+ Go back to the Restaurant

*Cooking Classes in the Kitchen

+ Our chef will talk you through today's dishes then leading you through each dish, giving you plenty of opportunity to get involved and try your hand at reproducing the flavours.
+ Dine on the dishes you have just prepared. We will also supply you with a recipe containing all the information you need to reproduce an authentic taste back home.
+ 12.30: Farewell
